Marlon Funaki is a Southern California-based multi-instrumentalist and producer whose style was forged under the influence of his father’s diverse record collection, ranging from psychedelic rock to Afro-funk and hip-hop. Transitioning from school bands and busking to working at Guitar Center, Funaki independently mastered the full cycle of music production in his home studio. Following the success of his independent releases, The Universal Language and Monterey Village, he signed with Warner Records. Funaki’s work is characterized as "ethereal psychedelia," blending indie rock, R&B, jazz, and shoegaze into a cinematic narrative. In early 2026, the artist introduced his new single "Let You In," marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career with a major label.
