François Mardirossian - Moondog - Pépites (2026) [Hi-Res]

His name was Louis Thomas Hardin, but the world knew him by the name he had given himself: Moondog. Blind but visionary, an uncategorizable composer, he wanted to be classical like Bach or Beethoven, but his heart beat not only to the rhythm of counterpoint, but also to the rhythm of jazz, Indian dances and old grooves. He was compared to Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Janis Joplin and Charlie Parker. He inspired David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Salvador Dalí and Marlon Brando. They all felt his magnetic power. Moondog was a menhir in the middle of the 20th century, a telluric being without a home and without time. (François Mardirossian)
