VA - Anonymous Veil (2026) [Hi-Res]

ANONYMOUS VEIL, presented by Society of Composers, Inc. on Navona Records, showcases seven contemporary works that illuminate the many ways composers confront what is seen and unseen. The program includes a portrait of the famed gorilla Yakini, a poetic memorial for 2020, a vibrant theme and variations inspired by shifting social hierarchies, and an organ work rooted in Vietnamese literary tradition. Additional pieces evoke the delicacy of nature, the expressive breadth of the cello, and the playful soundscapes of amplified saxophone and electronics. Together, they provide a clear, multifaceted snapshot of today’s SCI composers.
