Dryft - Particle (2026)

Mike Cadoo returns with Particle, the fifth full-length album under his Dryft moniker. Arriving twenty-six years after his debut Cell, the album builds on the fractured electronics and muted melodic language of 2021’s From Stasis, presenting crisper, more immediate compositions. Known for precarious, evolving rhythms, Cadoo lets patterns fully resolve while letting melodic elements actively drive momentum, resulting in a focused, forward-looking release. Particle also reflects his broader electronic legacy, bridging early post-industrial IDM with contemporary restrained forms and emphasizing clarity, tactile sound design, and forward-pushing arrangements.
