Paul Mullins - Hymns from the Hills (2026)

Hymns from the Hills is an anthology of sacred music performed in the authentic Bluegrass style. A collective of musicians from Kentucky and Ohio recreates a traditional acoustic soundscape, eschewing electrical amplification in favor of classic techniques such as "Scruggs-style" banjo and ancestral fiddle methods originating from the British Isles. The project centers on the traditional male vocal quartet, presenting music as a sincere expression of faith and cultural heritage. The diverse backgrounds of the artists—ranging from radio personalities to a state police officer—underscore the deep-rooted connection between the genre and the everyday life and communal values of the American heartland.
