Libres antes del final is the new album by Colleen (Cécile Schott), born from a deeply personal experience: overcoming a 30-year water phobia and relearning to swim in the open sea. This journey became a metaphor for life itself — in which the first tiny step beyond one's comfort zone proves harder than the hundreds of meters that follow. The entire album was composed and performed on the Moog Matriarch, then reamped in the Barcelona venue Casa Montjuic using binaural microphones, giving the sound a literal physical dimension. The music pulses with constant forward momentum: each track — from the tender "Mis armas se habían caído al suelo" to the cinematic "Aguas abiertas" — explores layers of sensation, doubt, and release. The album engages with fundamental existential questions about freedom and personal responsibility, answering them with an exuberant affirmation of renewal.
