Good Friends is Livingston Taylor's ninth studio album, released in 1993 on Chesky Records. The record blends original pop songwriting with a jazzy sensibility alongside carefully chosen covers, including a gospel a cappella reimagining of Bill Withers's "Grandma's Hands" and two selections from The Wizard of Oz. True to Chesky Records' production philosophy, the album was recorded using minimalist miking techniques with no overdubbing or artificial enhancement.
