Praecox makes his debut on Bpitch with a distinctive, nuanced release. The title track balances dry, minimal drums with ethereal electronic melodies, while "Lorenz Attractor" also adopts an unusual approach. Metallic kicks provide the backdrop for dubbed out chords and a plaintive ragga shanty - an unconventional combination that makes an impact. "Film Dilemma" sees Praecox move closer to conventional techno, but with his own twist. Powered by a lean, linear rhythm, dreamy synths recall the 90s work of Speedy J and Vapourspace. "System Combi" also stands out from techno norms. Based on a springy bass and a jacking groove, it builds into a buzzing trance climax.
