parasite is the debut full-length album by Toronto-based independent artist Mylie Taylor, released in 2026. The daughter of the late Mike Taylor of Walk Off the Earth, Mylie has built her artistic identity around unflinching honesty about mental illness, addiction, and death — channelling the raw spirit of 90s grunge (Hole, Nirvana) and the confessional vulnerability of Lil Peep into a sound that sits at the intersection of alternative rock and contemporary emo-pop.
The album gathers years of carefully built momentum: singles like «chokehold», «slip», «novocaine» and «one day i'll forget» preceded the release and already found their way onto Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists. Taken together, parasite reads as a sustained metaphor — a toxic relationship, an obsessive thought, a self-destructive pattern feeding on its host.
