Panagiotis Koukas — Mourgela is a solo album by Athenian musician Panagiotis Koukas, released in 2026 on his own imprint. The title itself — mourgela (μούργελα), Greek slang for tedium, ennui, and listless boredom — sets the emotional register of the record: music of urban everyday life, small tragedies, and the quiet absurdity of the ordinary.
The album sits at the crossroads of several Greek musical traditions: rebetiko and its zeïbekiko rhythms (To Zeibekiko Tis Rallous), laiko, nisiótika island music (Nisiotiko), and the contemporary Athenian singer-songwriter scene.
