Manuel Carbone's album IN FONDO is a meditative exploration of memory and longing, inspired by Mediterranean imagery. In this work, the composer abandons field recordings for the first time, relying solely on synthetic sounds to reconstruct abstract natural landscapes. The sonic tapestry is built on contrasts between clear melodies and abrasive noise, creating a space between reality and reverie. The project reinterprets the concept of a personal diary through fragmentary sonic images and non-linear rhythms.
