Ritchie Pickett and the Inlaws - Gone for Water (1984)

Gone for Water is a landmark album by New Zealand country rock artist Ritchie Pickett and his band The Inlaws, released in 1984 by RCA Victor.
The album is considered a turning point in the history of New Zealand country music, as it departed from the traditional Nashville sound in favor of a more vibrant and authentic country rock sound.
Although the album failed to win Country Album of the Year in 1985, losing out to a more commercial release, it remains a classic of the genre. In 2012, Stebbing Recording Centre reissued the album digitally.
