Underground Visions is the second studio album by the German musical project Nautilus, released in 1999. The band's music combines elements of electronic music, the Berlin School, progressive rock, and ambient.
The musical style of Underground Visions is multilayered "electronic progressive." Simply described, imagine a blend of classic German electronica from the 1970s and contemporary (at the time) ambient.
In contrast to "pure" electronica, Nautilus makes extensive use of acoustic and electric guitars. This lends the music a lively, almost rock-inspired quality.
The album is filled with soundscapes that create the feeling of immersion underground or the fantastical worlds of Jules Verne.
