In The Feeling is the sophomore studio album by Canadian country artist Owen Riegling, released on April 17, 2026 through Universal Music Canada and Big Loud Records. The record was produced in Nashville by Oscar Charles (Chase Rice, Elvie Shane) and mixed by Jordan Rigby. Riegling co-wrote all twelve songs on the album, with “Mailbox” as a solo write; co-writers across the project include Luke Laird, Jonathan Singleton, Jimi Bell, Connie Harrington and others.
Raised on a farm in the small community of Mildmay, Ontario, Riegling broke through after winning the 2022 Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Competition and signing with Universal Music Canada, scoring a platinum hit with “Old Dirt Roads.” His debut album Bruce County (From The Beginning) (2024) went on to win the 2025 CCMA Album of the Year, multiple Country Music Ontario awards and a Juno nomination for Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
Riegling himself describes In The Feeling as a coming-of-age record and his first concept album — “a song-driven road trip with no end in sight.” The material was shaped by two years of relentless touring and major personal milestones, including his marriage to longtime partner Liv, and it marks a transition into a new chapter of his career. As Riegling puts it, the title track captures the core emotional palette of the album: nostalgia, longing, love and coming of age.
Thematically, the record wrestles with identity, distance from home and the tension between ambition and belonging. The radio hit “Taillight This Town” embodies the pull between leaving and longing, while the high-energy “Love Hate Love” showcases the artist’s arena-ready swagger and growing confidence. The closing track, “Anything But Me” — co-written with Connie Harrington (Terri Clark, Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn) — is framed as a statement of self-acceptance that closes out this coming-of-age era. Physical editions add a handful of special interludes to the twelve core tracks.
The release coincides with a sold-out One Night Only show at Toronto’s Massey Hall on April 18, 2026, a Grand Ole Opry debut on April 22, and a headlining North American In The Feeling Tour scheduled for fall 2026.
