Piero Piccioni - L'alba dell'uomo (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (The Complete Edition) (2026)

Italian composer Piero Piccioni wrote the music for the documentary series “Dawn of Man” (“L’alba dell’uomo”), directed by Folco Quilici. The series, made up of eight hour-long episodes, was broadcast on the Italian state network RAI in the early 1970s. Its subject is the origins of humanity and culture: Quilici looks for traces of our earliest history in the contemporary world, showing the connection between the past and the present. Half a century later, the complete edition of Piccioni’s original soundtrack has been released digitally for the first time and is available on streaming platforms.
