The album The Afterlife Sessions marks the artist's return to their acoustic roots, inspired by a rural upbringing and folk music classics. The project originated from a spontaneous collaboration with multi-instrumentalists Ryland Moranz and Dan Fremlin, which evolved into a full studio production following a 2025 bluegrass festival performance. Recorded at a legendary Vancouver studio with a group of seasoned musicians, the album is a live, organic session featuring a rich acoustic palette of guitar, banjo, mandolin, upright bass, and fiddle.
