Isao Suzuki Quartet - Blue Road: Live in 5 Days in Jazz '75 (2022)

Blue Road captures the Isao Suzuki Quartet at a moment of extraordinary creative intensity. Recorded live at the “5 Days in Jazz 1975” festival just one month after the studio session for Orang-Utan, this performance documents the group in peak form, delivering a raw, expansive interpretation of Suzuki’s compositions.
Sourced from a newly digitized transfer of the original 2-inch master tape and supervised by Three Blind Mice founder Takeshi Fujii, the recording has been carefully restored by original engineer Yoshihiko Kannari. The result is a vivid and powerful revival of the legendary TBM sound, preserving the energy, depth, and spontaneity of Japanese jazz at its 1970s zenith.
