Citadel: Season 2 (Prime Original Series Soundtrack) is the orchestral score composed by Jeff Russo for the seven-episode Amazon Prime Video spy thriller, all episodes of which were released simultaneously on May 6, 2026, in over 240 countries. It is an ambitious large-scale project: recording took place in April 2025 at the legendary Air Lyndhurst Studio in London.
Russo — an Emmy winner and two-time nominee for his work on Fargo — is among the most prominent television composers of his generation, with credits spanning Star Trek: Discovery, Picard, Legion, Ripley, Zero Day, and Alien: Earth. He steps into the Citadel universe fresh, replacing first-season composer Alex Belcher (with Henry Jackman serving as score producer on that installment).
The 24-track album spans a wide emotional spectrum — from sweeping orchestral suites ("Citadel Redux (Broken)," 8:05; "Citadel in Motion," 11:05) to intimate, near-miniature pieces ("Daddy Dream," 1:19; "Absolution," 1:10). The tracklist mirrors the season's narrative arc: the opening half unfolds as an extended cinematic canvas, while the second half pivots to a series of sharp emotional vignettes tied to specific characters and scenes ("Hutch," "I'm Your Mother," "Oh Mason"). The paired tracks "Sinh (Air)" and "Sinh (Reduction)" form a thematic diptych anchored to the character of Nadia Sinh.
