Omar is an artist who continues to defy and exceed expectations. Who else, after over 25 years in the business is still releasing what most condiser to be his most distinctive and strongest work?

January 2017 saw Love In Beats released to absolutely huge acclaim. "Another brilliant album from the UK's #1 said Gilles Peterson, and is "A proper masterpiece" according to Jazz FMs' Tony Minvielle whilst Mike Fossati (Spirit Of House) declared it "a masterly crafted truly eclectic and mind-blowing album having timeless written all over"

Somewhat more electronic in it's conception and sound than it's predecessor, Love In Beats incorporates soul, Caribbean rhythms, an undercurrent of funk, with touches of zouk, a jazzy waltz, spoken word and also features collaborations with US soul legend Leon Ware, Blue Note pianist Robert Glasper, rapper Ty, Guadeloupe born singer Jean-Michele Rotin, and Uk soultress Natasha Watts, The Floacistand Mayra Andrade, the Cape Verdean born singer who lives and records in Paris.

This 20 track, extended version boasts remixes from an amazing array of names, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Tall Black Guy, The Reflex, Rob Hardt (Cool Million) DJ Simbad and of course, Omar's Grammy winning producer brother The Scratch Professer. There is even a track by Omar & The British Collective 'That's Why' - a unique dream team featuring the cream of male UK soul talent, Imaginations' Leee John, Don-E, Junior Giscombe and Noel McKoy.
