The Loading Zone - Blue Flame (2008)

"Blue Flame" is the farewell studio comeback album by the American band The Loading Zone, released on ElderFunk Records in late 2008 and early 2009. The record marked the reunion of the band's original core 35 years after their breakup.
The album blends jazz fusion, funk, classic rhythm and blues (R&B), and the street-ready psychedelic rock characteristic of the San Francisco scene of the late 1960s.
The release includes five brand-new tracks written by the members since their 2005 reunion, as well as three updated versions of older songs from their classic album "One For All" (1970).
"Blue Flame" marked an important finale for the band. The band managed to capture in modern digital quality their signature live sound from the heyday of the California underground before the death of their former bandmate, original drummer George Newcombe, in 2010.
