Kymono - Kymonosound (2026)

Italian outfit Kymono describe their music as a fusion of "house, Italian pop, Brazil and jazz". It's all made organically, without resorting to samplers and computers, lending a distinctly 1970s feel to their debut long-player 'Kymonosound', which is brought to you courtesy of ever-checkable German label Toy Tonics. The opening two tracks - the summer-y, lounge-y disco of 'Relax' and the more housed-up 'La Musica Dance' - set the tone for an album that's absolutely drenched in Meditteranean sunshine, with other noteworthy cuts including 'Iceberg', which features a vocal from Italian prog-rock and disco veteran Alan Sorrenti, and 'Nella Notte', which features pointed nods in the direction of both 'Strings Of Life' and Daft Punk's 'Around The World'. The feel-good hit album of the summer?
