SHHE - THALASSA (2026) [Hi-Res]

Scheduled for release on May 15, "THALASSA" by SHHE is a six-part conceptual ambient work addressing the ecological and political crises of the Mediterranean. Originating from a residency in Egypt, the project evolved from attempted field recordings to an artistic interpretation of a "silenced" sea due to military restrictions. Utilizing the metaphor of submergence and emergence, Shaw explores parallels between the fates of Alexandria and Dundee, Scotland—both cities facing imminent flooding. The work focuses on humanity's existential dependence on the sea and analyzes the collective response to inevitable climate change.
