AEIS (ACE) – new trio, new sound, new energy in Danish jazz

Adrian Christensen, award-winning double bassist and composer, presents his new project AEIS – a modern jazz trio featuring three of Denmark’s strongest profiles: Frederik Bülow (drums), Dan Hjorth (piano), and Christensen himself.

Drawing on a repertoire of original compositions, the trio creates a sonic universe that combines complex rhythmic structures with melodic finesse and intensity. The music is both energetic and understated, explosive and spiritual – a constantly evolving and dynamic organism.

The aim of the project is to push Danish jazz beyond the country’s borders and onto the international stage. AEIS challenges the traditional Danish jazz aesthetic with a globally oriented sound and an uncompromising approach to composition and interplay.
