Lichtsekunden - Resonance (2026) [Hi-Res]

The Austrian trio consisting of Markus Bratusa (guitar), Joe Gridl (bass), and Sebastian Felber (drums)—who previously released music without an official band name—has united under the moniker Lichtsekunden. The group has presented its third studio album, titled "Resonance". This new record expands upon their signature sonic identity, which navigates the intersection of traditional jazz and atmospheric ambient music. A unique feature of the album is its recording process, which took place in a tower of the historic Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt, famously associated with Joseph Haydn, rather than a conventional studio. Stylistically, the material caters to fans of spacious, melancholic European jazz in the vein of artists from the iconic ECM Records label.
