Microfiche - With Time (2026) [Hi-Res]

The Australian improvisational collective Microfiche celebrates its tenth anniversary with the release of their third album, With Time, on Earshift Music. This new work by the six Sydney-based musicians marks a transition from their familiar acoustic sound to a hybrid style that blends minimalism, ambient textures, post-rock structures, free jazz, and electronic elements such as synths and samples. The album features a more subdued, meditative mood and is conceptually dedicated to the idea of slowing down and allowing sound to unfold gradually over time. Drawing on the traditions of the Australian experimental music scene, the ensemble demonstrates deep mutual understanding and a vanguard approach to composition.
