Mr. Lovo - Vibe (2026) [Hi-Res]

Mr. Lovo is a Czech jazz-fusion quintet founded in 2020 by a group of musicians united by a shared passion for experimental and creative approaches to music. The lineup — Petr Venkrbec (saxophone, synthesizers, wind controller), Martin Poledna (piano, synthesizers), Ladislav Výmola (guitar), Peťan Petřek (bass) and Libor Orel (drums) — developed its distinctive voice through an extended period of interpreting jazz-rock, fusion and funk repertoire before transitioning to original composition. Their debut album Node (2022), released through MUSICRAFT, established the band in the Czech and Slovak music press as a fresh and genuine voice in the contemporary jazz-fusion scene.
Vibe, released on 15 May 2026, is the quintet's second full-length studio record. The title is both an aesthetic manifesto and a structural blueprint: seven original instrumental tracks woven into a seamless atmospheric whole where jazz improvisation meets funk groove and synthesiser textures. Lyrical melodies, layered sound surfaces, driving rhythmic moments and free improvisation coexist within a colourful musical landscape that manages to surprise while remaining pleasing and harmonious. Track titles — ranging from "Gobi" and "Nice Jazzture" to the self-referential "Jelibolovo" and the abbreviated farewell "B4N" — reflect the band's playful yet purposeful approach to musical language. Vibe builds on the foundation of Node while displaying a more assured studio sensibility and refined arranging logic, further cementing Mr. Lovo's place within the European jazz-fusion continuum.
