Hannah & Nathan - Love and Labour (2026)

Ontario folk musicians Hannah Shira Naiman and Nathan Smith have announced the release of their debut collaborative album, "Love & Labour," which premiered on May 15, 2026. The idea for this record was born after a serious car accident on a rainy night highway in Northern Ontario, from which the musicians miraculously escaped unharmed. The album features 11 tracks combining original songs, traditional fiddle and banjo instrumentals, and contemporary covers. The album's sound is woven from acoustic textures and tight parallel vocal harmonies rooted in old-time Appalachian traditions. The recording took place on Wolfe Island under the direction of producer Jason Mercer, featuring drummer Gary Craig and bassist Tim O'Reilly. In support of the release, the duo is also embarking on a concert tour across Ontario cities from May 20 to June 1.
