"Discomusic" is a cult album by Italian composer Piero Umiliani, released in 1978. The record was created as library music for film, TV, and radio, and the composer himself released it under the pseudonym Rovi (or as part of the project The Soundwork-Shoppers) to avoid oversaturating the market with his real name. The album is a unique blend of early cosmic disco, electronica, funk, and Afro-rhythms, which Umiliani adapted for the club culture of the late 1970s.
