JC and the Tree return with their third studio album Lost in the Wild. After three years on the road touring their original music full-time, they return with their most expansive release yet. Lost in the Wild is a rich blend of folk/rock, indie and roots, with moments of lo-fi pop, country, prog-rock and cinematic textures. A diverse yet smooth flowing release that leans into a bigger, full-band sound while retaining the group’s signature warmth and storytelling.

Drawing influence from The Lumineers, Boy and Bear, City and Colour and Of Monsters and Men, the album blends acoustic-driven arrangements with layered harmonies, violin-led melodies and a rich production style. Lead vocals are primarily male, with female violinist JC stepping forward for her track, Homesick.

At its core, Lost in the Wild is about stepping away from the chaos of modern life. The songs reflect on the pressures of a fast-paced, consumer-driven world and offers a simple but powerful alternative: reconnecting with nature, slowing down and finding meaning beyond the “rat race.” It’s an album shaped by lived experience — written while travelling, performing and carving out a sustainable life through music alone - their first album 100% funded by music.
