Skillethead - Check the Weather (2026) [Hi-Res]

Founded in 2019 in Central Oregon, the American band Skillethead performs bluegrass music by blending its classical foundations with contemporary experimentation. The collective combines traditional elements—such as layered vocal harmonies, driving fiddle tunes, and single-microphone stage setups—with original songwriting and inventive covers of rock songs. Comprising five members (Benji Nagel, Joe Schulte, Aaron Moore, Garrett Miller, and Casey Willis) who perform on acoustic stringed instruments, the ensemble positions itself as a project that expands the conventional boundaries of the traditional genre.
