The British horn trio TRYPL, consisting of Trevor Mires, Ryan Quigley, and Paul Booth, releases their album "Phantasticus," recorded live at Big Jelly Studios with the help of guest instrumentalists and percussionists. The concept of the record is inspired by the classic 1970s New York salsa sound pioneered by Fania Records and is built upon the principles of spontaneous collective creation. The tracklist features original compositions by the band members, blending elements of Latin jazz, Cha-cha-cha, boogaloo, mambo, flamenco rumba, and Latin rock fusion. The album focuses on capturing live concert energy and a positive studio atmosphere without compromising the technical complexity of the performance.
