Moyses Dos Santos - Maria (2026) [Hi-Res]

London-based Brazilian electric bassist and composer Moyses Dos Santos is releasing his debut album, Maria. The record was inspired by his collaboration with Azymuth's drummer Ivan Conti, who encouraged him to reconnect with his national roots. The album blends the rich musical traditions of Northeastern Brazil (such as samba, baião, and frevo) with elements of American jazz-funk, soul, disco, and the energy of the contemporary London jazz scene. The project features an international cast of collaborators, including Arthur Verocai, Theo Croker, and Lynda Dawn. Dedicated to the musician's mother, the release combines technical virtuosity with a deep connection to cultural heritage.
