The Magic City is a Boston-based rock quartet comprising Adam Anderson (lead guitar, vocals), David Jekel (vocals, guitar, synthesizer), Ken Marku (acoustic and electronic drums), and Mike Quinn (vocals, bass guitar). The band released their self-titled debut album on the Shave label in 2026. The record blends brit-pop, glam rock, post-punk, and power pop across a wide sonic range — from raw and grounded to polished and glossy. Despite clear British indie influences, the band maintains a distinctive voice and charm of its own. Their next album is set to be a significant departure, with new demos exploring cabaret, 1960s orchestral pop, 1980s electronics, and surf rock.
