Susurrus Station is an experimental project founded by American multi-instrumentalist Jason Breeden and Swedish musician Sara Dyberg in Stockholm in 2003. The duo also runs its own independent label, ÅIÖ Soundings. Dyberg grew up outside Stockholm in a music teacher's family, trained at the Malungsfolkhögskola performing arts school, and emerged into the city's vibrant jazz scene, while Breeden studied film, photography, and painting at the San Francisco Art Institute.Title: Mythomania

Mythomania is the duo's sixth full-length album. Its concept took shape over roughly three years, cohering into an exploration of myth-making and storytelling — the idea that lying is another form of narrative, and that a wide grey zone exists between fiction and memory. The record draws on the Greek myth of the Argonauts and on the figure of Maran, a malevolent creature from Swedish folklore said to sit on one's chest and conjure suffocating nightmares.
The duo wove the album together from classical motifs, rugged percussion, and cinematic flashes of guitar — structured more like a collage than a sequence of fixed songs. On Mythomania, Susurrus Station moves toward more accessible territory: a dreamlike, synth-dense soundscape threaded with counterpoint melodies and a poppy, optimistic finish — music that aims to reach a broad audience while preserving the duo's restless experimentalism. Contributing beatmaker and visual artist Paul Burnum appears on the record alongside guests credited as Old Unconscious and Destroyer. As Magnet noted, Breeden and Dyberg bring phenomenal cultural range and expansive instrumental talent, making Susurrus Station and their songs almost mind-boggling.
