Ah, hitting that 40-year milestone! Released in 1986, Tensongs marks a huge turning point for Hubert Kah. It was their very first English-language album, stepping away from the Neue Deutsche Welle (NDW) scene and diving straight into world-class international synthpop.

The biggest reason it holds up so incredibly well? Michael Cretu. Long before he conquered the global charts with Enigma, Cretu produced and arranged this album alongside Armand Volker. You can hear his signature sonic DNA all over it—those lush, dramatic, pristine digital synthesizer textures and clean percussion layers that aged like fine wine.
