Pipedream - Pipedream (1979)

Pipedream is the self-titled debut and only album by the American hard rock band Pipedream, released in January 1979 on ABC Records. The band was a short-lived Los Angeles "supergroup" that disbanded almost immediately after its release.
The album's music combines classic American hard rock of the late '70s, commercial AOR (arena rock), and elements of blues rock and pomp rock. Some songs feature string orchestration, synth drums, and even tabla.
The album is considered a rare gem of lost hard rock. Due to the acquisition of ABC Records by MCA, the band received little promotion. The band played only a few shows in LA, after which Tim Bogert returned to the reunited Vanilla Fudge, and the project ceased to exist.
