Tokso - Patchworks (2026) [Hi-Res]

On May 27, 2026, the annual Global Nights festival will feature a release concert for the new digital album "Patchworks" by the international quartet Tokso at Melahuset. Celebrating nearly 20 years of collaboration, the ensemble comprises musicians from Norway, France, and Greece. The performance is based on a 2023 commissioned work for Global Oslo Music. The album's musical direction blends Middle Eastern timbres and Scandinavian melancholy with chamber classical music, jazz elements, improvisation, and traditional folk rhythms. The event is organized with financial support from the Arts Council of Norway and the Municipality of Oslo.
