David Gibson - Darkness Blooms (2026) [Hi-Res]

New York-based trombonist and composer David Gibson, known for blending post-bop rigor with emotional clarity, is set to release his next album, Darkness Blooms, in May 2026 under la reserve records. Holding a master's degree from the Eastman School of Music, Gibson has collaborated with numerous jazz legends throughout his career and remains a longtime member of the Captain Black Big Band. His current ensemble, whose cohesive style solidified during pandemic-era sessions and was documented on the 2024 release Fellowship, continues to perform actively in New York, defining the artist's distinct signature sound.
