French instrumental ensemble Hanry presents their debut full-length album, "What Came From Silence," released via Pelagic Records. Composed during a harsh winter in Brittany, the record is built upon cinematic concepts, a balance of stark contrasts, and a gradual sonic evolution that transitions from minimalist silence into powerful, epic crescendos. The architectural interplay of three guitars—complemented by melodic bass, cello, analog synths, guest piano by Mariposa, and dynamic percussion—shapes expansive sonic landscapes. With band members serving as their own sound engineers, the group maintains total production autonomy, seamlessly blending European post-rock, ambient, and electronica traditions while expressing a long-term ambition to compose cinematic soundtracks akin to Mogwai.
