Elskavon - Origins Complete (2026) [Hi-Res]

Origins Complete (Western Vinyl, 2026) is a comprehensive box set documenting the full three-year arc of a single project: the original Origins album (2023), the collaborative Origins Remixes (2024), and the radical deconstruction Origins Fragments (2026). Taken together, the three parts form a closed trilogy in which the same melodies pass through composition, reinterpretation, and deliberate unmaking.
On the original Origins, Chris Bartels stepped into the singer-songwriter role for the first time under the Elskavon name, revealing a voice suited to the space between conventional craft and idiosyncratic experimentation. The album is simultaneously vast and intimate, tattered and clean. For Origins Remixes, Bartels invited ten artists to work without creative direction, producing a panorama of styles — spacious ambient readings, groove-driven synth pieces, crunch-tape textures, and post-rock-meets-electronic expanses.
Origins Fragments closes the arc not as a remix record or revision, but as intentional dismantling: granular synthesis, extreme compression, and distortion transform the source material into unstable, deformed sonic landscapes where accidents are embraced and direction is discovered rather than imposed. A familiar body, broken open — and allowed to become something else entirely.
