Lazybones is the second studio album by the Dutch instrumental band Casey and the Pressure Group, released in 1970.
This release is a true gem of European instrumental funk and soul jazz at the turn of the decade. The project was led by the talented Dutch pianist, organist and arranger Cees Schrama, who performed under the creative pseudonym "Casey".
On the album Lazybones, the band demonstrates a filigree mastery of authentic "black" American grooves wrapped in a stylish European wrapper. Stylistically, the music is an explosive and at the same time incredibly stylish cocktail of mod jazz (Mod Jazz), soul jazz, dirty early funk and rhythm and blues.
