Les Caravanes - Hark, Hark! The Drums do Beat, My Love (2026)

The British musical project Les Caravanes, previously operating as a traveling folk club, has evolved into a proper band and released a new EP. The lineup features prominent figures from the contemporary intellectual folk scene, including Mataio Austin Dean, Sam Grassie, and Alfie Jones. In contrast to the members' more academic and tightly-controlled primary projects, this release embraces a raw, straight-ahead folk-rock style characterized by psychedelic guitar solos and loose jams. This experimental approach allowed the musicians to deploy their skills in a more relaxed environment, resulting in a distinct, beautiful, and highly energetic record.
