The Solution - Communicate (2004)

"Communicate!" (2004) is the debut studio album by the Swedish-American soul project The Solution, which became one of the most unexpected and striking musical surprises of the mid-2000s.

Released in June 2004 on the Swedish label Wild Kingdom, the album showcased the incredible creative partnership of Swedish rock multi-instrumentalist Nicke Andersson (frontman of The Hellacopters) and legendary Detroit vocalist Scott Morgan (The Rationals, Sonic's Rendezvous Band).

The album created a sensation among critics. No one expected that the Scandinavian punk rocker and garage rock veteran would be able to recreate the spirit of the 1960s American South more accurately than most contemporary pop-soul artists. The album received rave reviews for its lack of falseness, raw analog drive and “live” sound, where the recording’s imperfections only emphasized its energy.
