Rone - Megaptera (Original Soundtrack from the Movie the Musician and the Whale) (2026) [Hi-Res]

French electronic musician Rone is releasing the album Megaptera, created as the soundtrack for the documentary The Whale and the Musician. Composed in Réunion and Brittany, the record marks the artist's shift from live performance toward exploratory field research. The project was developed in close collaboration with biologists and bioacousticians to find a way to musically interact with humpback whales without harming the marine ecosystem. The album's sonic palette is minimized, consisting of atmospheric synthesizers, choral arrangements, and field recordings that emulate and complement whale vocalizations.
