The debut album Peace and Quiet by the project Old Park Road is a vocal and instrumental jazz-rock work inspired by the golden era of music from the 1960s to the 1980s. Conceived over two years ago, the project distills the author's half-century of musical experience. Lyrically, the album eschews traditional romantic themes, focusing instead on reflections regarding art, fashion, and various conceptual spaces. The recording brings together the author's lifelong musician friends, a session vocalist from Airgigs, and modern studio tools, resulting in a contemplative, atmospheric record designed for mindful home listening and relaxation.
