Trabants is a Portland-based American instrumental music project featuring a rotating lineup led by guitarist and composer Eric Penna. The collective crafts an eclectic blend of vintage surf rock, garage rock, spaghetti western soundtracks, and 1960s psychedelia. Due to its cinematic atmosphere and virtuosic musicianship, their music is widely featured in films, television shows (Netflix, Hulu, MTV), and major advertising campaigns. The band's discography includes conceptual releases exploring polarized guitar textures, Italian cinematic styles, roots blues, and Eastern psychedelic motifs, all recorded with a diverse roster of guest musicians from prominent alternative acts.
