The Bluest Sky - Birdland (2026)

The Bluest Sky is a project led by Chuck Melchin, formerly of The Bean Pickers Union, which upholds the traditions of 90s-style alt-country and Americana. The band is recognized for blending robust guitar-driven arrangements with nuanced storytelling, supported by a rotating cast of accomplished session musicians. Their new 10-track LP, BIRDLAND, released on June 12, 2026, offers an eclectic mix ranging from high-energy tracks featuring prominent organ and electric guitar work to brooding baritone-led songs and stark acoustic duets. The album was recorded in New Hampshire and Nashville, with production duties shared between Melchin and Jabe Beyer.
