Far From Home, the debut album by the quartet Steeplechase, is a collection of traditional Irish and Scottish music recorded in Washington. The ensemble, featuring Hanz Araki, Zach Bauman, Sam Vogt, and David Lofgren, utilizes authentic instrumentation including flutes, bouzouki, guitar, and bodhrán. Mixed by Donogh Hennessy, the release focuses on capturing the essence of the group's live performances and reflects a deep reverence for the musical legacy of preceding generations.
