The Norwegian jazz-rock band Red Kite has navigated a difficult period marked by personal tragedies and the departure of keyboardist Bernt André Moen due to health issues. These events, including the loss of friends and pets, deeply influenced the somber and slow nature of the band's new material. Despite these setbacks, the group has successfully restructured, welcoming saxophonist Gisle Johansen as a permanent member, with additional keyboard assistance from Ståle Storløkken. The current lineup of Red Kite consists of Even Hermansen, Trond Frønes, Torstein Lofthus, and Gisle Johansen.
