Recorded over three days by an expansive ensemble of over 30 musicians, the project bridges old-school Hollywood showbiz energy, the Afrofuturism of Sun Ra, and the avant-garde structures of John Zorn, while incorporating influences from noise rock, drone, and free jazz. The tracklist transitions from chaotic brass movements channeling Charlie Haden’s Liberation Music Orchestra and experimental soundscapes to an unexpected Bob Dylan cover and a lush, vintage torch song performed by vocalist Amy Clark. The record serves as a defiant manifesto for artistic freedom, solidarity, and collaborative creation, with a portion of its proceeds donated to the War Child charity.
